Senior Demand Generation Manager

Drive engagement with our global Learning and Development community, helping them to derive value from Kallidus and accelerating the growth of our business.

About Kallidus

Over 2 million people use Kallidus software and content to learn and develop, making us one of the most widely used and most experienced L&D vendors. With over 1,200 organizations as customers and an expansion of our product portfolio, we’re now building a world-class marketing team to drive business growth.

Vision for Demand Generation

We believe the demand generation team will make an outsized contribution to growing our business.

Success will be achieved by methodically engaging target customers and being useful to them in every interaction. Many of our customers buy because of the great service they get from our salespeople (in addition to a proven product, of course!)

Our demand generation team will be equally engaging, delivering support and human touch at scale. The team will drive awareness and interest in Kallidus’s products and expertise.

What’s in it for you?

For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to gain world-class marketing leadership experience by defining and building a demand creation function.

You’ll be building on good foundations. We’re one of the most experienced vendors in the L&D market. We have an existing inbound/outbound sales machine (15+ SDRs), an integrated technology stack (Salesforce.com, HubSpot), and an effective paid demand capture programme.

You’ll be joining a newly formed marketing team with an L&D expertise-fuelled content marketing squad, a product marketing effort that’s packaging our unique selling points, and an effective demand generation team with depth of expertise in paid advertising.

The role: What we need you to do

Ultimately, we need you to ensure that we deliver on our goals for revenue, new ARR, cross- and up-selling. You’ll help us expand our presence in the UK and accelerate our growth in North America. To do so, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify and prioritise opportunities to grow our business.
  • Align demand gen campaigns with known customer needs, delivering compelling ways to serve customers and help them see Kallidus is the best options for things they care about.
  • Ensure we have and are reporting on the right measures to ensure we’re continually improving our impact.
  • Understand how we can support customers in their roles, identify where we can help them derive maximum value from Kallidus, and drive engagement – providing the right useful information to the right people at the right time.
  • In service to the above, structure integrated campaigns to make sure we communicate effectively with our customers. Define the channels through which Kallidus will communicate with customers. Continually test different approaches to improve our return on marketing expenditure.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute and achieve campaign goals
  • Continually improve collaboration between marketing and sales teams, and with experts across the business
  • Help us maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, continually providing insights to content marketing, product, implementation, customer operations and other teams.
  • Establish and continually develop the demand gen campaign roadmap
  • Create and continually improve the process used to define and execute campaigns

You’ve got skills

The skills and attributes that will make our demand generation leader successful (and the skills we’ll be assessing in the interview process) are:

Data-driven

You’re driven by 'hitting the numbers’ and know which measures matter. You identify growth opportunities from analysing and interpreting data about our customers and how they progress through their engagement and evaluation cycles.

Technical capability

You bring email and database marketing skills to the table. We’ve got strength in PPC already, but we value your breadth of experience in marketing. You understand B2B buying processes, know how to sharpen value props, create engaging content, and have tried a litany of different channels. Importantly, you’re able to lead cross-functional teams with a strong process for defining, running, and continually improving campaigns.

Creative business acumen

You’re confident in your ability to make a commercial impact, as you’ve got a way of figuring out what matters to our target customers and create smart ways to (cut through the noise) and reach them. You’re a keen collaborator and you’ll readily partner with our 45 salespeople as well as experts from across our business to help drive meaningful engagement with our customers.

Attributes that will make you successful

Kallidus values collaboration, curiosity, and integrity. There are some additional attributes that make our sales and marketing team successful.

  • Outcome focussed: Focus on customer value and business outcomes over activity and outputs. We invest time defining our goals and ensuring the business is excited about what we’ll get done.
  • Pace and proactivity: We deliver value early and often. Why make others wait until tomorrow, when a first draft can be shared today?
  • Striving: Every member of our team works hard to continually improve what our team achieves.
  • Collaboration: Our marketing team collaborates with our sales, customer success, and education teams to drive engagement with target customers. We believe in cross-functional collaboration over silos, hierarchies, and swim lanes. We are world-class team players. The demand gen role leader will be able to quickly build relationships across the company, building effective partnerships to define and execute great campaigns.

Life at Kallidus

People are at the heart of everything we do and the key to our success, so it’s important that we recruit individuals who share our values. You need to be curious to ask questions and to find out why. You need to be true to your word. And you need to be proud to be part of something bigger, working with others will come naturally to you.

Once you join us, we’ll help you develop and grow in a supportive environment, as part of a close- knit team that likes to have fun. Can you see yourself helping us take our growth to the next level? We invite you to come and discover for yourself the exciting future ahead of you.
