The Job

 

In this role you’ll be responsible for researching and designing new, cutting-edge courses for the rapidly growing Kallidus off-the-shelf library, aiming to excite our learners, embed behaviour change and support high levels of learning retention. You’ll be working with our own bespoke storyboarding tool and player to create highly interactive, AA accessible, mobile responsive courses to help learners stay compliant, grow their skills and advance their careers.

You’ll be part of a high-performing and talented team, keen to share innovation and create quality storyboards, liaising with our graphics, development and QA teams and subject matter experts as needed to give our customers the best outcomes possible. You’ll be focused on your own learning and development too.

You’ll also be contributing to our upgrade and support workstreams, to help Kallidus ensure our top-rated compliance, health and safety and business skill training is always up to date.

Your responsibilities

  • Completing the learning design of all the projects that you are assigned.
  • Outlining/Storyboarding projects to ensure that:
  • Learning objectives are met.
  • The learning is engaging to the audience.
  • Complex topics are communicated in the most effective way.
  • Creating scripts for course modules and any associated videos
  • Communicating and collaborating with subject matter experts, developers,

artists, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the vision, objectives and end-product expectations are met.

  • Supporting other colleagues on specific projects where required
  • Ensuring that quality standards are maintained.
  • Clarifying that agreed learning objectives are met in each course you create.

 

Your Skills & Knowledge

  • Experienced learning designer and knowledgeable about adult learning theories and principles
  • Excellent writing skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to design for multi-device usage and confidence in applying usability and accessibility principles
  • First class listening and questioning skills to enable effective consultation with Subject Matter Experts
  • Good research skills and the ability to engage quickly with complex and unfamiliar subject matter.
  • Enthusiasm for and knowledge of a broad range of learning technologies, design and development approaches, including the potential use of AI, to enhance learning design and improve efficiency
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change, embracing evolving processes and innovative learning solutions
  • Commercial awareness, including experience creating content within budget that is fit for purpose and awareness of competitor activity
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and lead briefing meetings as required
  • Natural team player, who can work to tight deadlines
  • Able to follow style guides with minimal supervision
  • English Language degree or equivalent
  • Experience designing generic off-the-shelf content would be advantageous
