As we continue to grow internationallyWe are looking for a commercially minded and pragmatic lawyer who enjoys working closely with the business and helping teams move quickly while managing legal risk effectively. 

The Role: 

📈Commercial contracts and sales support  

  • Provide legal support to the Sales team in negotiating and concluding customer agreements for the provision of SaaS products, eLearning content, and related services.  
  • Review, draft and negotiate a range of commercial agreements including SaaS agreements, licence agreements, order forms, data processing agreements, and framework agreements.  

🤝Partner and supplier relationships 

  • Provide legal support in relation to the company’s commercial partner ecosystem, including third-party content providers, resellers, distributors and referral partners.  
  • Draft and negotiate supplier and partner agreements, ensuring alignment with the company’s commercial strategy and risk appetite.  

🚀Technology, AI, data protection and information security 

  • Support the business on data protection, privacy, technology and information security matters, including contractual arrangements relating to data processing and international data transfers.  
  • Assist with compliance with applicable privacy, AI and technology laws and support the ongoing development of internal policies and processes.  

📚Intellectual property 

  • Assist in the management and protection of the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including software, content and brand assets.  
  • Support licensing, usage rights and IP protection strategies across the business.  

 

What were looking for: 

Essential 

  • UK qualified solicitor (0–2 years PQE) 
  • Experience working with commercial contracts, ideally including SaaS or technology agreements 
  • Exposure to intellectual property and data protection matters 
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to communicate legal advice clearly and pragmatically to non-legal stakeholders 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across the business 
  • Critical thinking and experimentation in the use of AI and emerging technologies within legal practice, with a demonstrated ability to adopt, evaluate, and refine tools that improve legal workflow efficiency and decision-making and support business scaling. We are looking for someone curious, adaptable, and willing to rethink how an in-house legal team operates in a modern SaaS company. 

Desirable 

  • Experience working in a technology or SaaS business, or advising technology companies on commercial contracts in private practice 
  • Familiarity with commercial contracting and data protection law 
  • Interest in developing expertise in AI, privacy and technology law
